I am clearing out the hats I don’t wear or are too small. This is a vintage (probably 1970s) Resistol "Diamond Horsehoe 110" (110 = $110 – I am told it was the same quality as a 15X or 20X at the time – it was the top of the Resistol line) in size 7-3/8. It is silverbelly in color with a 5-1/2” crown with the Fort Worth crease and a 3” brim. It was sold originally by Garry’s of Houston, Texas, and has a Garry’s dark brown satin liner. The hat appears almost unworn and is in excellent condition. But does have what appears to be a water spot in the left rear topside of the brim. I tried a brush and sponge, but it did not come out. It is hard to see unless you are at the right angle. I have tried to capture it in the two photos below (I darkened one to get it to show better). It came to me in a vintage Resistol box in fair condition – not sure if it is the original box, but it will come with the hat. Asking $100.00 shipped in the U.S. As for trades, all I am currently looking for is a straw Open Road in a 7-1/2. If you have questions or are interested in the hat, please contact me via email thru TFL.
