Thanks for posting this puzzle piece. Here’s the jacket. I posted it in the finds and deals thread back in March of last year. It’s actually still for sale in Japan.

Cool picture
Mine has the same collar snaps alsoGot a couple of discoveries to document.
@Yamahana posted this California Sportswear jacket which appears to be the pre cursor to the Classic Windward labeled jacket. This is the only one I have seen with a CSC label. It is a dark brown which I have not seen either. Most were in the lighter brown on the Windward labeled jacket. I've always been curious about the Windward since they have such find leather. Now we know the maker. So makes sense they are high quality.
This style was very popular. Duplicated by other makers. I had a Penney and an Alden that were similar but not exact copies. These also came with hardware for a removable collar.
CSC made jackets for Wards using this label. The leather tag identifies CSC as the maker.

Below is the Classic Windward. Aero Leather Co. makes a reproduction of this jacket.

I like the pocket stiching. I had thought the grommet was replaced by the sunrise Talon. I believe differently.I picked up this 1930’s Montgomery Wards quite sometime ago. Been in the back of my closet, thought I better document it to this thread. I believe it’s a suede capeskin very light soft delicate unlined leather, has a few tears in it but still in pretty decent shape for its age. It almost fits my 44 size but not that I’d try to wear it.

All the panels have a stamp on them on the inside.

The grommeted Talon zipper still functions and in pretty decent shape with one break in the tape couple inches up.

I like this too. Thanks for posting these.1930’s suede vest that I picked up just a few months ago from the same seller as the MW suede jacket. No label on it and I can’t see where there may have been one attached. In pretty good shape as well with one shoulder tear and stitching undone on back panel. This one has a Crown grommet zipper in good functioning shape. Has 20” chest. View attachment 584052 View attachment 584053
Interior pics. Even tho zipper functions I don’t want to unzip it all the way and press my luck.

I assuming 30’s by the label and zipper but I’m the least knowledgeable & smart guy I know.I like the pocket stiching. I had thought the grommet was replaced by the sunrise Talon. I believe differently.
Nice! I want it!
Definitely 1930s. Seems the grommets were popular on wool jackets. I have a few jackets with this set up including a Monarch suede. I will post it.I assuming 30’s by the label and zipper but I’m the least knowledgeable & smart guy I know.
