Noticed this "La Cantina Bar" sign in the background of a photo from my hometown in 1955. The whole block is long gone.

1. Booze - Cocktail Lounge, check!
2. Meals - Dining Room, check!
3. Snacks - Coffee Shop, check!
4. Activities - Pool & Beach, check!
5. No true connection to the Space Race, but the impression that there is - Monster rocket on sign blasting off*, check!

*No subliminal advertising here at all, nope, none.

How the heck can there be vacancy?

Last one - how cool is the two-tone paint on the wagon framed by the signposts.
