Checking out the historical side of my new city, Indianapolis. Drove by Fountain Square this morning. Lots of cool vintage neon in the area.

Above is my photo from this morning. Below is one from the web showing it lit up at night.

Nice! It would appear that you have chosen a rather nice place in which to relocate.
:D

I have enjoyed the posts regarding the love for neon. I hope it comes back again. LED's have dominated the lighting arena too long. LED's have their strengths, but neon is the Cadillac of custom expression and signage. I am a neon glass bender with over thirty years experience, started in the early eighties and still do it today. Business has fallen off drastically due to mostly the introduction of LED's, and local and state laws governing neon signs. I am from Richmond, Va., still love bending glass when the occasional order comes in. If you would like to talk "neon", PM me with your phone number, I'll call you back.

Kickin' examples, Bob and Harv!

Welcome Vevo! I agree, neon is the real deal, but sadly, like you, I'm seeing more and more cheap LED lighting around my area these days too. It's not a trend that I can see reversing itself any time soon.

Welcome Vevo! I was born and raised in Richmond, and know that city well. Moved to Arlington in 1995, but visit my parents in a regular basis. Richmond has some great signs and buildings!

The venerable Rotosphere has been discussed here before. This is an old photo of the one that stood atop the bowling alley in my neighborhood until about 2003 or 04. A walmart resides there now, a daily reminder of society's shortcomings.
Awesome photo credit to Tikikiliki.

That thing is awesome, Dale! Did the rotosphere survive, or did it get sent to China to become wrenches?
