Vintage leather jacket lovers, where do you live?

I often wonder the geographic and cultural distribution of us vintage clothing and vintage leather clothing across the US. I doubt it has much to do with wealth, as I live next to Greenwich, CT and how many of us are from here? I have not seen anyone wearing leather at all, maybe they keep them in the closet and only wear the more easy-wearing outfits? Maybe it's not a New England thing? People here are not so "nostalgic"? or, more Euro-centric? Share your thoughts!

South West UK here, where most people who wear leather (in my town) wear cheap modern leather jackets & the odd Irvin type (with pockets) during the current cold snap. Not much vintage stuff around at all...

Sheffield - Yorkshire England UK, and we are blessed with several retro clothing shops eg - Cow Vintage, New Shop, Freshmans, Mooch Vintage and notably Jojo's General Store. In addition there are frequent vintage clothing fairs eg Lulu's. I strongly suspect that this rich source is fuelled by a Uni student population of around 50,000. All stock a range of vintage clothing from everyday to premium. Jojo only stocks rare and premium and plenty of both.

Portland, OR. My son plays soccer and I am one of about one dads who wear leather. It's a sea of polar fleece and puffer coats over here. I wore my peacoat to todays (2) games, just got home in fact. Chilly night. Saw a couple of cool puffy coats. i have one but of course it is a "retro" style from Eddie Bauer.

Italy, reporting in. Leather jackets seem to be "hip" over here now, much to my chagrin. Of course it's a plethora of overpriced fashion-style paper-thin made-in-a-Pakistani-sweatshop junk. Actually I'm pretty sure a good 35% is not even real leather.

Even here in Los Angeles I haven't ever spotted an Aero, Himel, Eastman, etc. "in the wild". I did see a baggy oversized A-2 a few months back.

Philadelphia, PA . Most are not wearing leather right now since it is winter. Come spring I usually come across a few people wearing vintage pieces.

Melbourne Australia. I rarely see any decent leathers here, or leathers period. I'm sure they are out there. I have never seen an Aero or premium jacket.

Iowa, might get more responses on this thread if moved to Outerwear section.

Very very few decent jackets here, mostly on the backs of motorcyclists, and then only "old school" as most of them have gone textile.

This is a very basic state and they seem to like it that polar tech fleece, North Face (China-made) snow jackets and maybe a thin leather or lambskin jacket. On rare occassion might find a mall jacket in a resale shop. Vintage ones tend to be limited to the long 70's Grais branded dress jackets in dyed brown.

In the mid south USA - no vintage here and for that matter no jackets unless we get sustain 40 degrees or less. People going from their cars to the store..........short sleeve T-shirts, maybe long sleeves even in the high 30's.

Same. I have only seen other quality jackets at Inspiration despite living in the Greater LA area.
