that...exactly like that (more or less, ok?)....that was the look of the living room...all gone and bulldozed now to build huge towers....by the savages who live in that South american country.

Back to the idea that civilized folk did not have a visible picture tube in any of the public rooms of the house, here is a Jam Handy industrial film promoting the 1959 RCA Victor "Hillsborough" model 21 inch television receiver. The Danish Modern interior was up-to-the-minute. I'd buy a ranch house and a bunch of Danish Modern furniture if I ever found one of these sets, I think.

I do believe this is the first I've ever seen of this model, and I pay attention to furniture and the like of that era. Might've been a sales flop, maybe?
