Vintage-inspired Christmas Party Dress Help!

Evening ladies,
Not long now until the Christmas party season, my works do is in 4 weeks and as usual this gal is looking for a new frock!
Was wondering if anyone has any vintage inspired dress ideas for under £30 (I know such a small budget!!). Online stores will probably be the way to go, no big cities nearby!

Also would love to see all of your party outfits! And how you all dress for the festivities!!

There are some cute ones at White House Black Market on sale right now. And Pin-Up Girls Clothing has a really cute green one. I am not entirely sure how big a 30 pound budget is but I hope that helps.

Grant Fan - the dress you chose is really beautiful. Wish I could find something similar in the UK! I did find a classic shift dress I thought I could dress up, but it wasn't in my local store and has disappeared from their website The search will continue!

The little black dress is as you know a timeless classic which can at this time of year be found in charity shop and can be dresses up really well to look very vintage,
it's all in the accessories you choose necklace, cocktail hat, gloves ,shoes ,clutch evening bags, nice pair of court shoes and of course a pair of seamed stocking.
and could go for some form of shawl. It's also a great time to wear fur.

That is indeed a beautiful dress!

I have ordered the dress from Peacocks (link above somewhere), I am not 100% convinced it's right for me, need to show some people at work to get opinion, the fit 'n' flare seems a little high on me and it does make me look quite large at the hips! It maybe just a new shape/style that I need to adjust to.... photos will follow!
