A friend of mine, a booking agent, recently passed away. While going through his belongings, his wife stumbled accross some old head shots. They are all labeled 1940, and were the acts he booked for that year. They have 3 little punch holes as if they were kept in a binder and could be flipped through to show potential clients. I was able to get some of them, and thought I could share them with people here if anyone was interested. They are all original headshots from that era, and would look great in a collection of similar items. Or simply frame them and hang them on a wall.
Here is the list of people I have:
Artie Shaw
Glenn Miller (with trombone)
Tommy Dorsey
Erskine Hawkins (with trumpet and wearing a killer suit!)
Lionel Hampton (with xylophone)
Duke Ellington
Benny Goodman (with clarinet)
I also have a Perry Como (very young looking) but might keep that for myself as I am very fond of his quirky music.
I figure I could let them go for $5 plus postage.
Let me know if you are interested. I will try to get some pictures of them up as well.
