Gray-blue Meadowbrook with Stetson marks size 7 1/4 Fedora Hat
http://www.ebay.com/itm/331519346771

Center-dent crown. Up-turned brim. Wide ribbon. Stetson Mode Edge. This hat has all the style marks of a much older hat. It reaches back to the days of the 30s with all these great features, and it will add that panache to any outfit you choose. A soft gray with a hint of blue, this 100% fur felt hat stands out. And check out the gold leaf on the sweatband! The liner might say Meadowbrook, but this hat clearly has Stetson bones. There's just the faintest fading in the middle part of the complementing pewter ribbon, but otherwise, there are no stains, smells, or moth bites in this lid. It comes ready to serve, so get in on this one today.

Crown: 5 1/4"
Brim: 2 1/8" (2 1/4" on the sides)
Ribbon: 2"
Head opening: 8" x 6 3/4"

Silverbelly Stetson Nutria Quality 7 1/4 Fedora Hat
http://www.ebay.com/itm/331519348401

These old Stetson Nutria Quality hats sure stand up over time. Take this fellow, for instance: markings would put this as a pre-50s hat, but beside the shoe-string ribbon, you would barely be able to tell that this hat has changed at all over the years. A fine work hat, or a gorgeous dress hat, the Nutria Quality can take on whatever you'd like to throw at it. And check out the provenance: the owner put his name on the inside of the sweat (which is still amazingly pliable; it even has the oilskin moisture guard in place), and it turns out he lived in Alberta, not that far from Whitefish, Montana, where the hat was purchased. There are no stains, smells, or moth bites in this classic hat. Friends, we all know this is true: they just don't make them like this anymore, so get your American classic today.

Crown: 5" as creased
Brim: 3"
Head opening: 7 7/8" x 6 1/2"

Light brown Lee Cameo 7 1/8 Fedora Hat
http://www.ebay.com/itm/331519349882

A lesser-known maker, Lee was prolific: they made a number of great hats, often for other folks. Check out this 100% fur-felt Cameo, for instance: Lee made it under its own label, but you can see that it was sold by the Golden Rule, and if you're from the Northwest, that'll mean something for sure. A black label, this hat with its complementing mid-ribbon and bound edge can be either dressy or casual, however you'd like. And with a nice-sized brim that wears well either up or in a traditional snap-brim, you get a lot of versatility from this lid. There's one small nibble in the felt above the ribbon, but there are no other stains or smells in this hat. The size reads 7 1/8, but it could fit a small 7 1/4, too. It's a beauty, and it will contribute to any hat collection.

Crown: 4 1/4"
Brim: 2 5/8"
Ribbon: 1 1/4"
Head opening: 7 7/8" x 6 1/4"

Silverbelly Dobbs West 7 3/8 Fedora Hat
http://www.ebay.com/itm/331519351796

Great hats come with great stories, and this hat is no exception. Somewhere along the way, this fella had a new liner and sweat installed (but you get the original Dobbs West liner that was in the hat), and after that, this hat traveled. Character? You bet it has character! A thin-ribbon Dobbs with a good shady brim, this hat has seen all of the Americas and big portions of the middle east. Now, of course, that means the hat needs a good cleaning--there are some sweat stains as you can see in the pictures--but the bones of this hat are solid. The thin ribbon and matching bound edge are just the slightest bit lighter than the hat, giving it a great look, and it provides ample shade under its brim. The hat doesn't have any moth bites. What it has is great history, and it's just waiting for you to add to its story.

Crown: 4 5/8" as creased
Brim: 2 3/4" front, 2 5/8" side
Ribbon: 1/2"
Head opening: 8 1/8" x 6 1/4"

 It's a Joao stingy brim, that's for sure. I might have to start adding that description to my auctions. ;)
