Vintage Fashion Auction Heads-Up!

The Whitaker-Augusta auction gallery is currently running an auction of vintage textiles and fashion (ends Oct. 24-25th). There are some extraordinary pieces in this auction and it's worth taking a look even if you don't plan to bid. Also in the auction are some cool vintage cowgirl shirts and boots.

True, true, but I doubt I'd stop at just *one* auction, and I'd probably just hoard it all anyway in my own private museum. lol (Not that it doesn't sound appealing, mind.)

Wow, I actually own one of the items up for auction. I have the same, exact tan western jacket (3rd from the left):

(My husband also has a black one almost like the one pictured on the right.)

The close up shots, and inside construction shots on the 19th century gowns are amazing. All those gathers and pleats!

Its the laces that makes my eyes pop out of my head!

1950's Lilli Ann Jacket for sale (on left)

Maybe I have an unmarked Lilli Ann in my wardrobe? And I own both pieces - the jacket and skirt!
