Vintage Cooper A-2 transformed into more WWII correct

Right so a few weeks ago I bought a basic (80s) Cooper A-2, and decided to see what it'd look like in a WWII era look, so I added a WWII era leather nametag with ym name, proper light brown 100% wool knitts on the waste and cuffs, artificially distressed the seams, snaps ect with rubbing alcohol, and then added a heat transfer AAC roundel...next is to remove the Cooper tag and add a WWII era tag and AAC inspector stamp on the lining.....any comments opinions??

Cooper makes a decent A-2 although I prefer a 100% cotton lining to their 50% cotton/polyester one. Still a Cooper in spite of fine tuning though.

I think you did a fine job!

The little details really make the jacket sing in a way that the stock Cooper didn't...nice jackets though they are.

Thanks! still got more work for the liner, if I find a mustard brown all cotton A2 liner, I'll have it put on this one. Im also looking to get more scalloped goatskin pocket flaps and have them put on

Maybe contact Shaul over at USAuthentic for a custom purchase of a tag, or Ebay has some sellers who sell A-2 bits and parts (where I got these awesome cuffs and waistband) they often sell WWII era tags or repros of WWII era tags

I Like the Decal on the shoulder, where did you get that!

I have sewn an 8th air force patch on mine and have also done a name tag, but yours looks better, where did you get the Name tag as well!

My brother looks better in the cooper than me, I find the sag of it drives me nuts overall.

I would say you could have left out the extra Work on making it Time-worn, Give it six more months of honest solid everyday wear and it will look as it should.
