I have to mention again that i found that the way the questions were posed with the answer selections given on the ones regarding fur did not allow me to chose an answer that was more closely aligned with my position.

It was interesting to go through.

Second segment of the analysis:

http://redlegsinsoho.blogspot.com/2011/03/vintage-grand-inquisition-part-2.html

I share dear Minna's disappointment at the ubiquity of Dita.

The fact that Dita has received the nod from many is simply a correlation to the fact that "advertising" works. DIta is part of the current portion of the trend and is also in many ways acting as a spokes person or representative. As I understand it, she has her own work, works as a model and is used as an advertising model by companies that are looking to tie a vintage pinup look to their products. Out this way the some of automotive parts business has gone after a vintage look. All of this means exposure and that brings in people.

It is a starting place for some and will perhaps lead to interest and personal research to move further into vintage. For others the starting place will be where they stay.
