Here are a few images I've gleaned from the holdings of the National Naval Aviation Museum. I hope someone finds these useful in researching civilian outerwear.

1930 - Aviators with Smithsonian officials.

March 13, 1945 - Congressional party visits Naval Air Station Olathe, KS

Same party as above.

"Visit of Mayor Gates and Party" to NAS Olathe, KS January 23 1945. I'm not sure what municipality Gates was the mayor of. He certainly wasn't the mayor of Kansas City, MO and I haven't found one in connection to Olathe or Kansas City, KS.

1950 - aboard the USS Oriskany

1918 - Curtiss Aero employees.

Great pics. I liked the 2nd to last. You don't see kids that age dressed so well anymore. How many parents typically buy their 10 yr old boys over coats?
