how funny. I have lots of vintage craft magazines and even an old book club membership that I've been tempted to send in to the 60 year old addresses. You're right, return to sender is most likely but who knows, you might actually get something back.

Thanks! I should have mentioned that I got the towels here in Maine at various antique & collectible shops.

Regarding thinking about sending in coupons decades later, good, so it's not just me.

Rinso, Pepsodent, Treet, Clabber Girl, and various other ... *ahem* ... well-established products can be found at most stores below the prestige of a Ralph's (Dillon's, Safeway). Essentially, if it looks like a family-owned, mom and pop affair (or it's the beloved 99 Cents Only Store), you'll find them.

By the way, I can't list all the reasons I love the 99 Cents Only Store, but among them is the fact that I have a complete collection of Basil Rathbone's Sherlock Holmes movies, as well as His Gal Friday, a number of Bulldog Drummonds, some Dick Tracy, Mr and Mrs North, You Bet Your Life, Burns and Allen, and I can't say how much more all on DVD at the price of 99 cents a go.

O'Cedar is still on sale at the supermarket today, and I use it on the furniture regularly, not on the floor tho, for that you would need the now politically incorrect Picaninny Floor Polish which is hidden in the left-hand corner.
