Each package is unopened with the original contents. Also shown, some 1940's dishtowels.

NIFTY! I didn't know Colgate made "car wash"! I actually use Rinso soap, and I Rinso Whistle as it suds.

Any chance of a photo of the towels? The top towel seems to have a bar theme!

Sure I can! I'll try to this evening.

Where do you find your Rinso supply?

It's all over the place in Los Angeles (in its modern guise, of course). Rinso laundry soap, Rinso dish soap, Rinso all purpose soap, et cetera.

I don't actually use Pepsodent, but that's all over, as well. Sometimes I have to restrain myself from singing about Irium in the market aisle!

lol

I think we need to push for a return to the days of Rogers Silverplate coming in boxes of laundry soap. When I was growing up we had a lot of utensils and drinking glasses that came from such sources, although the offer always seemed to expire before we could complete the set!

Some of the current versions of the "oldie tyme" products are knockoffs made in China. 99 cent stores (dollar stores out here on the west coast where everything is more expensive) specialize in Chinese chemicals. Check their shampoo (real poo for that matter) hand cream, et.al.

Sometimes I'm tempted to respond to those kinds of offers (you have to send in the box top) just to see what would happen. Yes, return to sender is most likely, but what if...

(Cue Twilight Zone music...)

how funny. I have lots of vintage craft magazines and even an old book club membership that I've been tempted to send in to the 60 year old addresses. You're right, return to sender is most likely but who knows, you might actually get something back.

GREAT towels by the way, I love the dancer and guitar player.
