This one's pretty solid, especially for a Wisconsin truck. Dad's had it over 10 years, now.

My father had a similar one in yellow with chrome stacks coming up at the cab corners. :p It was a rust bucket and he got rid of it. I hope you don't have such problems. :p

The car is just lovely. So happy that you two are making such a great pair!

A few Plodge pix -- borrowed camera, so excuse quality.

Got the radio installed this morning, and took a drive this afternoon with the ball game on. Solid comfort.

This would be hillbilly:

Jimmy, I wouldn't enjoy the Lounge near as much without your humor!

Since we're talking Dodges, another picture of our other recent Mopar acquisition. Dad and I were taking a break after a little exercising of our automotive technician skills :p

Wow, that's gorgeous - especially the green. What a wonderful road trip that would be, too - fly to Maine, buy a Packard, and drive back.

Unfortunately, I just checked my available funds and if the bidding goes over $350, I'm out of luck.

I like those cars, but for myself I want something less flashy. I really like the '49 to '54 styling period because it has a good balance of postwar optimism and practicality. As the '50s wore on, things got a little more euphoric and while those are fun cars, they don't strike me as appropriate for every occasion as the earlier models.

I also really like the older, pontoon-fendered cars, but they look decidedly old fashioned for use on a day-to-day basis.

I take it you don't like fins then? :p

I love them! Among the MoPars in the style you show, I've always thought a '59 Dodge Royal Lancer would be an awesome car to own, but I'm looking for something more sedate to drive on a daily basis.
