This is a very interesting thread! I don't get to surf nearly as much as I used to.

I fit outside of this thread's criteria, with a '67 International Scout. My trailer is a '50 Willy truck bed. Some of the technical problems sound all too familiar, though.

Now, let's talk vacuum wipers at -20 degrees...

I love the IH scout 600's. Not a fan of the scout II's though. But that truck lead me to buy my 70 bronco.

Oh, and it's the first year for the electric wipers!

Three words----electric wiper motor. They make conversions for any model out there. I had the same problem with my 59 oldsmobile.

True. Now add to that driving in the mountains 80% of the time. Wipers are a luxury I don't have.

I really like the simplicity of the 800s. EBs are fun too, even if they were a copy.

The Scout II was a victim of the '70s. I have a '76 Traveler that is going to become a plow rig.

HA!!! I see you use the standard e-brake cinderblock for the back wheel too! I've upgraded to half a block now, but hope to soon obtain a nice brick that I can carry in my trunk of my 1950 SD....MY daily driver.

Brick, hahahah, yep that's what I use when I find one. I use a rock some times too. I mainly just keep the car in gear but, when I park on a hill, the tires are right to the curb.

Seems we have our own extension of P-15/D-24 over here!

Remember that post at the P15/D24 forum last year where someone stated there was a specialized e-brake about to be offered for sale, and it was a nice red brick that had "MOPAR" on the side, and a string tied to it so you could pull it away from the wheel from inside the car?

Funniest thing I'd seen in a LONG time....and one that made me scratch my chin at the same time.

I have a 1958 Fiat 1200 Transformabile (Spyder) roadster.

It was my high school graduation gift, and by good fortune I still have it, although it was in storage for 20+ years.

1200 CC, about 63 HP, and very cool glass roll-up side windows and swiveling bucket seats.

It is in primer right now and all I need to complete the restoration is seat foam and upholstery, and re-paint.

Saw a 1935 Hupmobile like this in black the other day at the Pomona Auto Swap at the Fair grounds. It was for sale and it wasn't that much! It was fully restored and they were only asking 18,000. I say it wasn't much compared to the 1937 Ford two door I saw that was priced at 25,000 or the fully restored 1934 Ford Cabriolet two door priced at $75,000!!! Just goes to show that since so many guys are hot-rodding early Ford's these days, it's driving up the price of a restored original car to Cadillac prices!

If any one here in this area loves old cars, I recommend going at least one Pomona Auto Swap to see cars and buy cars! Lost of cool stuff and parts to be seen!

Of course, you all know of Japanese motor company giants like Toyota, Nissan, and Honda, some of you may even have one, though none of their cars are old enough to call vintage. So, have any of you heard of Mitsuoka Motor Company? No, they're not vintage, but their concept is something special, and they only sell in Japan. I happen to drive by one of their dealerships 3 times a week, and their cars are very unique, and worth a look, I think, so here are the links. I'm sorry they're all in Japanese (which may deter many of you....I hope not) but I hope you'll enjoy the pictures.

Wow.

You know, some of those aren't too bad. It's nice to see modern cars with chrome bumpers and bumper guards!!! They would come in really handy over here in CA. That's why I drive a 60 year old car, because it's made like a brick s--t house. Oh, and it?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s a pretty car too.

Saw a very perfect 1933 Hupmobile a few months ago at one of the cruise-ins. Pretty rare now.
