I agree. LW does a great job with the collar and lapels. They're a bit wider and I think it's more pleasing to the eye.
He also uses hide appropriate zippers. The zip on my j-106 is bound to fail. It's needs #10

That's a good idea. The problem is the zipper just pushes in itself if that makes sense. It folds under the weight of the leather. I can zip it with a bit of finessing but a number 10 would be so much nicer. It's my only gripe.

Same problem with me, after waxed it got so smooth, that works for me, at least.
