Vintage Borsalino Messina

Gentlemen,

What is on offer here is a vintage fedora which I estimate is from the 1920s.

Labeled as 'Messina' it is a high quality Borsalino and in very good condition. To my misfortune it does not fit my head, so it must be sold to a new owner.

A few details:

Material: Fur felt
Color: Grey
Size: 7 (US)
Inside measurement: 22" (56cm)
Brim: 2"
Crown 4 1/2" (C dent)
Ribon: 1"

Label: Borsalino Alessandira - Cappelleria G. CAVALLARO "1860" MESSINA, VIALE S. MARTINO 127 - 129.

Condition: Very good, a few marks on ribbon and two very small moth bites on brim. These are not noticeable. Inside is marked but not damaged (see pic).

This is a very nice hat. Perhaps a later date for it? 1950's seems more likely.

Thanks for your questions. A few answers;

1. The size is not on the hat. I measured it myself and it's definately size 7 according to my measurements.

2. I do not have a solid date for the hat and my estimate was based upon limited information. Date has been removed for topic title.

I am going to put this item on ebay in the next few days. I expect it to achieve a good price like most Borso's do.
