It did go pretty high, but I can't say that I'm totally surprised. It's very nice.

From the front it looks Aero Highwayman ish with cuff straps. personally I don't like the back, which probably makes it something special and the neat lining is in good condition also, hence the high bids.

From the front looks like a lot of jackets new and vintage. Baby has Back though and folks seem to like that.

Gorgeous jacket. That sale price is sheer lunacy. Lots of risk with potentially weak seams, leather condition etc. As much as it is a very cool jacket...I don't think I'd pay half what it sold for, even if the numbers were spot on for me. (They very much weren't). I once spent a sizeable sum on what looked to be a mint condition barnstormer only to have it literally fall apart when I put it on. The vintage game, for me, is far too risky for that kind of cash.

What Ton said. And these do pop up from time to time, it's nothing unseen or unheard of and so far they've mostly been around $500 tops. Someone makes a very similar replica already but I can't recall who... BK?
