Ms. Betty, did I ever mention the origins of the 42nd Division's "Rainbow" nickname and insignia?

Seems every state sending Guard troops wanted theirs to be first in, so Mac suggested creating a composite division from pieces of each of those states' Guard units, something about "spreading across the country like a rainbow" in his own words--I'll see if I can find the exact quote when I have time.

Just another little bit of trivia for your arsenal...
