In a rare smaller size!

Sleeve: 24 5/8 (+ 1 1/2)

Length: 29 1/2
This wonderful jacket was made by A. Sagner's Sons in their factory in Frederick, Maryland, between 1962 and 1968. (It carries the disinctive Union label for thsi period; red letters indicate that it was pre-1969, and the R indicates that it was 1962 or later.) The company introduced the brand name "Northcool" in 1944, and used it for its very light-weight summer jackets.
Although there is no fabric content provided the Care Instructions in the interior pocket make me think that this is a Wash and Wear jacket, and so a cotton blend. (Sagner's were among the pioneers of Wash and Wear fabrics.)
The jacket is cut as a high-roll 3/2 sack with just the hint of a lapel roll at the top button. The fabric is wonderfully lightweight--perfect for summer--and in a classic 1950s/1960s check in muted greens, browns, and black. The jacket has narrow lapels appropriate for the period, two button cuffs, and a single center vent. It has a hook vent--and was very well made! It is half lined.
It was, of course, Union Made in the USA.
This jacket is in Very Good/Excellent condition. It has two minor flaws--a tiny white mark on the front, as shown (I only found this when photographing the jacket close up in bright sunlight, so it won't be seen when worn) and a very small white blemish on the back, as shown--which also won't be noticed when worn!
It's an absolute bargain at just $35, or offer, boxed, shipped, and insured in the USA.
