While the period is a bit early for the focus of FL, it is interesting nevertheless. the Harry Ransom Center here in Austin TX has an exhibit on victorian photography through the end of the year. It explores the what was then the new technology of photograghy and how people would dress up for their pictures. they also have an interactive component where you can dress up and take a picture of yourself with an old camera that's been digitized, complete with a beautiful victorian rug and backdrop. you then can go home an get your picture from the center's website. It's kinda cool. I went last Wednesday evening. if you are in the Austin Tx area between now and Dec. 30th you should check it out. It's on the University of Texas campus and it's always free.
