I was chinese cheap MTB, i bought a decade ago. I decided to get rid of the poor gears and brake set, and make somekind of single speed coaster brake cruiser out of it. I broke the rear light bulb right away since i connected it to the wrong voltage output of the dynamo, but everything elses works fine, old fashioned bike lock too. I bought old style fender, really old stock, thick steel, but clearly very old stock and white color... so need some works to get it installed.... project for another day.
Thanks, i bought all the parts new locally online, still being made mostly chinese brands and some local brands, and thankfully my poor mtb has standard steering and seat tube, so i can use parts from other old fashioned bike, steering is from roadster bicycle style, narrower than both mtb and beach cruiser, i like it, position feels like motorcycle steer. I still need a mirror and a bell.Love the bike! I like the position of the handlebars. It's been some time since I've seen a dynamo operated light, always reminds me of my old bike. My last bike was an electric one and I loved how easy it was to commute to work since it wasn't too far.

Next stop is the living room. I’ve already started to pave a path to this with my wife. She’s begging me to get back on it (cheaper than hiring a hit man LOL). But I would love to have it as a conversation piece and maybe put a fan in front of it and throw on the Oculus and pretend. I just don’t have the balls or back for it anymore.
A man’s got to know his limitations.
*mine is a rigid frame and ornamental front brake.
This thread is about vehicles owned, which is why I left this one out from a previous post. Do you remember the chase scene from Dr. No? The one where Bond is in a Sunbeam Alpine with what is, I think, a big black Caddy Limo in pursuit. You can keep Bond's Alpine, how I loved that limo.
Not long after the Packard a new love interest appeared:

Having sold a car that had proved difficult tp source spares for, it would be folly to go and do the same again. But truth be told, I did get to the point of measuring the car's dimensions to make sure it would fit in our garage. It took my wife, Tina, to give me a reality check. You can see her here, looking every bit the part.
All you fans of the big limo, can you help? Was that Big Black Beastie chasing Bond a Cadillac? The former wedding car above is, I think, a Buick, but I just can't remember. Anyone know? I'm intrigued as to how both the Packard and the Buick are in right hand drive. What market were they sold to?
Just purchased this last weekend. Dealer ceramic window tint not yet installed in these photos. Traded in a 2015 i3 for this 2021 i3S.
I have owned many great vehicles over the years! 2000 Lotus Elise 111S, 1970 Alfa Romeo GTjr, Ducati Monster 796 to name a few. I have enjoyed going electric.

Fresh Breeze
Not a vehicle but a sailboat I sold yesterday after owning 4 years. I purchased this boat in Rockhall MD and had it trucked to san Francisco Bay Aera. Mine was hull # 15 of 16 built high-end sea-kindly boats. View attachment 344225 View attachment 344226 View attachment 344227 View attachment 344228
I sold Fresh Breeze after buying this Morris Ocean 46 " Marguerite" I named after my mother inlaw a larger boat more equiped and suited for long ocean passages
I plan to sail her to Hawaii and to the San Juan Islands up the inside passage to Southern Alaska and back home to the San Francisco Bay
Marguerite being loaded in Annapolis MD bound for Richmon CA. She looks better now I just spent two weeks striping the varnish down to bare wood and a[[ping 10 coats of varnish labor-intense lot of sanding View attachment 344230 View attachment 344231

I’d been saving to buy one of these for a while and then they announced 2014 would be the final year of production, so I ran to the dealer to get a Toyota FJ Cruiser. Fuel consumption isn’t great, but it is good for hauling the family around the city and then going bush on the weekends.
