I just received the Elvis today.
That's a pretty cool piece.
A few stiches in the lining are popped but that was advertised and can be fixed.
What was not are the specks of paint and couple of small cuts.
I guess a touch of shoe polish on the paint will do the trick.
No big deal though and other than that it's in pretty good shape.
There were no measurements provided so I went with the size chart I found on the website.
Size 10 is supposed to be medium but it fits a bit smaller than that, that'll be a tshirt or light sweater fit.
No fit pics on this one as she doesn't want pictures of herself on the internet and I won't be crossdressing (not that I could fit into it).

I wish to know more as well. I found this photo on Instagram. I went back and looked again and this may be the Octagon leather.

Seems too dark for Octagon cow and not red enough for Octagon horse but I could be wrong. Looks amazing either way.

This is the very batch of leather my Enfield is made of. After months of wear it looks fantastic with a grain very similar to old broken in jackets on ebay. That‘s a thing many people for some reason forget with Vanson. They expect new jacket to look the same as broken in ones but we all know and preach it all the time for Aeros - your jacket never looks as bad as on the first day and all these beautiful vintage Vansons were lifeless black monsters in their first months of wear as well and only developed into what they are today.

Updated mercury pics. Finally showing some of that trademark comp weight luster. Rainy and 50 degrees tomorrow so I’ll wear it cleaning up the yard.

The appeal of the merc for me is that it has the fit of something like a Cal Ventura without any of the extraneous m/c design elements I don’t need. Roomy chest and shoulders, sharp taper and curved sleeves. Just a really simple yet solid pattern.

Sorry. That's what I hear every time this thread title comes up in my feed.

Im looking at some Vanson jackets just not sure which one to get. I’ll need some customization. Is it best to go through TB?

I've never gone through TB, but I have gone through Vanson directly and achieved good results. I'd say you can go through TB if you want, but it's not necessary.
