Vanson Oxford, Size 38, Dark Hickory Vancouver (dyed black)

Vanson Oxford from Thurston originally in dark hickory Vancouver then dyed black using fiebings pro dye. This leather is a lot softer, grainier, and shinier than their bainbridge. Some of the shine has worn off on the collar, forearms, lower back. Does not have windflap, zip cuffs, or zip pockets from factory. I dulled the chrome side buckles using sand paper.

not asking contentiously, having never owned one personally just wondering your opinion...seem pretty boiler plate leather jacket to me

Zippers and buckles are too large and shiny being chrome. I don’t like the exposed zipper sleeves on my other Oxford, and the leathers are a little too shiny/loud for my taste. That’s the reason I dyed them both black.

I only keep a max of 3 leather jackets at a time, and I prefer my 2 Aeros and 1 Field leather more than the Vansons.

The jacket arrived this morning in Oz and it fits me perfectly. It’s super nice and the DIY dye job gives it a very peculiar shade of black, almost eggplant colour, I love it.
