It looks good to me and the fit is great, the sleeves are just right too. Well done. This makes me excited for mine which is over the Atlantic at the moment.

Thanks - it does feel still slightly smaller than the Enfield but I'm hoping that once broken in it will mould to my shape

It looks like their comp weight has gotten better, although you can't really tell from just one set of pictures.

Update ... after a whole day wearing it I've decided it's not for me - I actually do prefer the Enfield style for my shape....

So if anyone UK based is after a great deal on a "as new" Model E .. fire me a PM before I put it on eBay

Can't fault the jacket / workmanship / leather in any way and it blows some other highe priced makes out of the water IMO

I think the Highwayman is a functional motorcycle jacket for riding, made just for that. The Enfield is better for everyday wear and occasional rides.

I'm with you SimonR, I don't need all the laces, belt, snaps and hardcore hoopla on what some call a dedicated MC jacket style. My Vanson Enfield does just fine as a casual jacket and riding jacket. After all the Enfield was also designed for the sleeves not to ride up when reaching for the bars and actually be comfortable as a riding jacket. I often wear mine during chilly mornings and damp evenings when on the bike during the summer.

Just heard from Vanson: my E will be finished this week.

My Model E arrived from the bay. I’m very pleased with it, it fits well and only weighs 6 lbs, which isn’t too heavy for an E. The main zip has been replaced leaving some parallel stitch marks (well spotted @Monitor), and there’s a very small paint mark on the shoulder you’d have to look for to find which doesn't bother me too much. The leather’s the good old fashioned comp weight from a few years back and matches my old comp weight Enfield well! I’m very impressed by the fact that the mouton collar has nine snaps connecting it to the collar.
The leather dressing didn’t turn up sadly.
