Is it a regional variation to spell the aforementioned word "stoatir" with an i ?These 3 take some beating,,the Belstaff Montana works both on and off the bike,it's 25years old,,in Glasgow lingo ,it's a stoater.

It certainly is,stoatir is commonly used in the less affluent areas around here,,clydebank, yoker etc....Is it a regional variation to spell the aforementioned word "stoatir" with an i ?

I love the Vanson Raid! Looks good on you man. There's one for sale on eBay in my size, seller is quite proud of it and is priced accordingly. Pride keeps it from being in my closet lol.Vans0n R@id is a beast So says my doodle, View attachment 667790
I've seen them listed online on W&W Cycles website, I think it was, for about that price. But of course, no 42, bummer.Thought my luck was in, there two new raids at a dealer in Germany,, $370 ,unbelievable bargain, but ones too small and ones massive :-(
That's where I saw them,,hate it when measurements are in cm lololI've seen them listed online on W&W Cycles website, I think it was, for about that price. But of course, no 42, bummer.
How old is your Comet? I'd love to see pics of that, I love the older CW!I own 7 Vanson’s:
*TB Oxford in Whidbey brown cow hide;
*custom Oxford in CW;
*model B in CW;
*Chopper in CW;
*Comet in CW;
*model C in reddish brown CW;
*Raid in CW.
I wear the Oxford in Whidbey the most. A fabulous jacket.
I have a few other leather jackets that I never wear including an Aero Sheene in HH. I’ve worn it twice. I’d never buy another one because my body doesn’t work with Aero’s design.
Vanson’s are exceptionally comfortable jackets and the Oxford is equally adept on the bike or off. Superb jacket!
I’ve probably got 6 variations of comp weight and I like them all. The Comet is made in the legendary comp weight, but all the others are good too.
I have one 40, two 44’s and four 42’s, all fit pretty similar. The Raid 42 is the roomiest fit however, measuring 24.25 ptp.
I like Vanson!
That's a reallllly good looking jacket and nice hide! I like the symmetry of having chest zips on both sides, and the short front length, both for riding and for the way it looks. Great fit on you! I should give the Comet a second look. These Vansons multiply in my closet, I swear lol.Bought it used but I called Vanson to date it and if memory serves it’s around 2000. View attachment 669927
I own a Comet PLU3 from around 2005 that I picked up from a member here, also made from that good ole’ comp weight.. I think the Comet may be Vanson‘s masterpiece as it manages to allow a comfortable fit and full range of motion despite the trim cut and lack of any gussets, bi-swing, action back, side zips, or laces.That's a reallllly good looking jacket and nice hide! I recently gifted my as new size 42 Raid to my son - I bought it as NOS but it sized too large for me.I want your raid lol.
Is your comet a 42 or 44,could you measure the back please. There's one on ebay here a 44,and seller is quoting 22.047back ,,18.5 shoulder ,,and 18.5 pit to pit lol.ive messaged her ask to take measurements again ,seems it fits her husband who is a 44xl ??Bought it used but I called Vanson to date it and if memory serves it’s around 2000.
