vanson enfield

I have a Schott 141 in size 48, it fit's me well. I'm wondering if anyone knows if Vanson Enfield will be similar. I think Schott runs small. I'm thinking of getting an Enfield also and need advice as to wether I should get 48 or if they are bigger maybe a 46?

My chest size is 42. I got a size 44 Enfield. Has enough room for a vest or a sweater underneath.

I read somewhere that Enfields run large. I can believe it because I'm now a size 40 (39 inch chest) and my 42 Enfield feels almost two sizes too big. It sure seems more than one size too big. It's not for me to say, but I think Insurrection is an expert on Enfield sizing. I may have read that "runs large" tidbit on their website.

yes they do run large..Im a size 42 in 141 and a size 40 Enfeild fit me perfectly. Im also a size 42 in model B. ( I was at the factory the other day, and the they let me try on a couple of jackets that were made for other costumers. They only had freinze in both models.)

I just joined this forum, I tried to send a PM but didn't see how so I wanted to ask you about the Vanson factory. I live in MA, all the way west right by border of NY but if I make it out to Boston some time I might want to check it out, is it open to the public?

As to weight, I don't own an Enfield, so can't say, but keep in mind it's available in either their medium or heavy weight.

6.2 pounds in competition cowhide (by my reckoning). I think how short it is depends a lot on how tall you are. At 5'9", I wouldn't call it a short jacket at all.

My size 44 Enfield in competition weight is 7 pounds, as weighed on my electronic scale. Down the back it it 25". Down the front from the top of the zipper to the hem is 22". Both too heavy and too short for you. I didn't check the website to see how my measurements compared with Vanson's, but mine are accurate.

Even though the jacket is a heavy jacket, it wears very nicely. The weight isn't noticed. But I know how you are with the weight of jackets . . . .
