Vanson Enfield HH - fit and collar fold line

Thanks to a fellow lounger in Taiwan - this heavyweight Vanson Enfield in HH arrived today. It’s size 42 so too big for me (40), but I knew this when buying it and plan to layer thick jumpers underneath this jacket when it gets really cold. Plan to get a mouton collar made for it as well.

I put it on over a Patagonia R4 fleece and the fit at chest looks OK to me. What do you guys think?

I do have an issue with the collar fold line being half way the collar width - first close up pic shows the default fold line, second close up pic show how/where I want the fold line to be.

How do I get the default fold line changed? Soak the collar in water, fold it and let it naturally dry?

Thanks in advance

Very nice! Hard to find Horse hide Vansons - especially in still excellent condition.

In addition to the collar, the whole jacket appears to need breaking in, just wear it a lot, and let it happen naturally.
I’m also surprised it’s not fully broken in given it’s age - I actually planned to soak wash the who jacket in bathtub and give it a good feeding afterwards.

This brings me to another point - don’t think I’ve ever handled a fully broken in HH jacket in my life yet!

Thank you v much guys! That means it’s a keeper and one of my other jackets need to go!!

I couldn’t resist the temptation to soak/wash it in bathtub. It dries very fast and I’ll shortly give it a coating of conditioner.

Some teacore showing through as well!

After a lot of elbow grease to feed the jacket, clamp the collar and left in in a dry room on wide back chair, the collar appears now fixed and up wearing it (still damp) around the house today to speed up drying with body heat!

Leather looks and smells new the feed worked great!
