Vanson C2 Fit

I have a request for help fitting a Vanson C2. Do you think size 42 will be good for me?
I am 178 cm tall
Chest 106 cm
Weight 85 kg.

My request for help is because I have never had any experience with Vanson. I have the Aero HIghwayman Premier jacket size 42 and it's OK for me but it's quite a narrow jacket but I don't know how it fits with Vanson.

Thanks
Przemek

Vanson has the measurements for their size 42 on their website. Compare them to the ones of your Highwayman and you should have an idea..

edit:
  • Size MED-(SZ 42 Chest measures 47 inches = NORM FIT (5 in. of chest ease)
  • Back length is 24.5 - Front 21 - Sleeves are 35 Nape of neck to Wrist.
  • Jacket is meant to cover the beltline.
  • Bottom sweep circumference is 42 inches.
23.5“ pit to pit, 21“ diameter at the waist.

Thank you for your help. I do not know if it measures well, but the Aero is 30 inches from the nape of the neck and from the arm 24.
Pit to Pit 21 and waist 20.
I think Aero has a different cut and fit.
Unfortunately, I can not try on the jacket and I am afraid that I will not hit the size, so the question to users is maybe someone is similar in size to me?

If you fit into a jacket with pti to pit 21“, the Vanson is too large in size 42. You probably need a 40 or maybe even a 38. Is the Aero Highwayman with 20“ at the waist very trim at the stomach? If it‘s trim, you probably should not go down two sizes in the Vanson. If you think you can zip up a jacket with 19“ at the waist, you should go down 2 sizes imo. A size 38 Model C still has 21.5“ PTP which apparently is still more than your Highwayman.

edit: if you are unsure whether you measured your Aero jacket correctly, post pictures with the tape for us to doublecheck.

I found it very true to size. At the time i was a 36 in everything and the c2 was no exception. If you’re really stuck right between 2 sizes determine if you want the quilted liner or non quilted. It will make a slight difference in room. It is a really fantastic jacket for the $.

Thank you. I saw your picture earlier and the jacket looks fantastic, that's why I would love to have it.

Below is a link to the offer of the seller in Poland from whom I would like to buy it and it seems that the jacket has a quilted liner.

Did you review the Fit Chart on thier website -- all the info you need is right there.

Thank you for your answer and this is what is bothering me because I was checking on the Vanson website. Because from this calculation it comes out that I should be 42 and taking into account the measurements of my other jackets, Vanson looks different.
I admit that Aero is on a t-shirt, but when I put on a sweater, it is tighter. Maybe I should have a bigger bag but at the same time I wanted it to fit well.

Nice Aero there!
Given your dimensions, I agree it's lilkely that a 42 will be too large for you. Maybe a 40 would be spot on. Perhaps the best thing to do is email Vanson direclty about your size and seek their reccommendations.

I have to disagree with this actually. When Vanson launched their new website a few years ago they eliminated a very good size chart (detailed measurements for every style in every size) and replaced it with a brief description which contains a few measurements and suggestions for a single size.
Fortunately I have found Vanson to be very consistent n their sizing and I have found that a size 46 will fit me regardless of the model or style.

I think at 106cm chest and 85 kg, it might be a good, snug fit. I'm 106-7cm 80 kg, and my C2 is a 42, and fits perfectly.

Thanks I love this jacket.
Now I'm looking for something for colder days and for my bike, that's why I chose this Vanson.
I think the price of 300 euro is ok

Always hard to compare sizes of different makers; harder still since the C2 is a Cross-Zip and the PremierHWM not.

For what its worth: I have had a total of three Aero PremierHWMN, all in size 44; I also have a Vanson Chopper in size 42. I couldn´t fit into a 40.

I have a 42" chest (107cm) and always aim for a P2P of ca. 23,5".

If your size 42 premier HWM is tight on you, it may well work.

the ptp on the jacket you took pic of is 23. So if you think that fits well, 42 on C2 should be good. Generally speaking it sounds about right for your height and weight.
