Fits really well and the jacket is aging nicely. I don't like the shirt tail back at all personally, but the front fit looks ace.
I tend to agree with you. I added the shirt tail to add a bit more functionality while hunched over a moto, while still keeping the front of the jacket short enough. If this weren’t my primary riding jacket I think I’d have forgone the tail altogether.

Ah yes I can certainly see that reasoning. I don't ride so that's obviously irrelevant to me haha.

Very cool jacket, ageing nicely and perfect fit imo. It‘s some kind of a sheene, isn‘t it?

Regarding the use on a motorcycle, do you wear just the jacket or can you fit an amored shirt underneath?
If you were buying the jacket again, would you opt for a windflap?

I‘m kind of in the same position as you were because I‘m also looking for a jacket that is good on the bike but also suitable for everyday wear.
In fact, I already got three jackets that fit the bill but none of them absolutely nails it on both parts.
So your input would be a great help fo further improvements!

So the jacket is sized to be able to accommodate an insulating layer underneath. I think an armored shirt would be too bulky to wear reasonably— I don’t wear armor generally unless I’m doing off-road type terrain, and then it’s time for my full on dorky klim suit.

In regards to the wind flap, I usually just wear scarves when the temps get to cold and they do a good job keeping me warm down the front. Would probably add to the cold weather functionality though.

It’s definitely hard to strike a balance between form and function with Moto jackets— too form forward and you lose function, too functional and you risk looking like a road pirate/racer.

Do you have issues with wind coming through the front zipper causing a „balloon effect“ when riding fast on the highway?

Man, that fit is perfect! The length just about covers your belt, you should really not be bothered about it. And that leather is aging damn well, too!
