For the record, I'm not trying to hijack this thread first posted by @Hypoxic. Just wanted to augment his post with my G-8 purchase for maximum info sharing. I give full credit to @Hypoxic for getting me to pull the trigger on a jacket I've eyeballed for a long time. This US A G-8 is already a new favorite of mine and will get a lot of use. Thanks again!

@Hypoxic you're more than welcome here in the friendly Big Apple! A city of 8 million all coexesisting in (mostly) peace and harmony.
Yes, I'm a ferry boat captain in NY harbor. Between 28 years as a licensed merchant marine officer while simultaneously putting in 26 years of Navy/Navy Reserve duty, you could say the sea is definitely in my blood.
My second career choice would've been flying but alas all I've managed in that department has been a couple of hours of basic flight lessons in a Cessna 172.

Great looking jackets to the both of you. I have two A-2s from USA, one in seal goat and the other other in russet hh.

on another note, why is it there are at least a handful of ex-Navy guys around no matter what forum I am on ... (21.5 USN ret)
