Im looking at the untochables hats on Aaron hats

Is it just me or do the hats not look the same?

ah, I thought i was going crazy.

while yoiu are here, how do these sizes S, M, L , XL compare to sizes(7 1/2, 73/8 etc) discussed here.

Wool felt is not the best material for a hat; it tends to shrink easily. I doubt you would be happy with it. Many of the venerable hatters around here could make you one. Art or Steve come to mind. It is a great hat though. Costner never looked so good!

yeah , i've noticed

I've seen many posts indicating that. There was a thread recently about steaming hats that seemed to really show that.

I wear a 7 1/2 and the XL size is more like a 7 5/8. These hats are very stiff and not reshapeable. If you want wool you'd probably be better off with one either of the Dorfmans or the two imported fur felts at the bottom of this page: http://www.getahaton.com/products.php?cat=82&pg=5.

Are you looking for a specific brim size or color?

is that really the shade of black? whats a tear drop crown? and does it really come with a feather ?

The large is a little snug on me.

That hat is a true black and yes that feather comes with it. I don't know what kind of bird that came off of but it has to be the ugliest feather I've seen on a hat. Don't worry, it pulls right out.

it's wool, but it seems like a good strting point while i figure out my style. If everyone else here is anything to go by, i'll probably end up getting more.

Its a good looking style but at $50 I would save a little and buy a fur felt. Wool is cheap and low quality for felt
