Goodfellas and Casino, didn't care about any of the characters in either.
They solved that hat problem on the Andy Griffith show:

No good reason to wear a hat on backward now.
Unless you have a catchers mask on your face, there is not good reason...

You are giving Lincsong more nightmare subjects.
Hard Day'suke:and  is more like it. :eusa_doh:
For goodness sake, its a musical with lousy actors and singers in it. :eusa_doh:
The music was great; if it didn't strike a chord with some, that's their opinion. As regards acting ability, it wasn't a prerequisite, that's for sure. But the Beatles, particularly John, could be rather clever in their humor, in an odd British way, that is.
Their artistry is often heavy-handed. They're imagemakers first, storytellers last.
I think there was a lot of odd there.
But at least no hippies...
They were the foundation hippies. Look at their later stuff. Number 9? Riiiiggghhht.uke::hippie:
But not in 1964...No Number 9 there (mercifully).
In 1964 they were pretending to be normal and all Ricky Nelsonish. They fooled you.
I dont know how much of a pass Wright got. Ive read a number of his biographies, and theyve all said he wasnt the nicest guy. He also wasnt prancing around wearing a tie-dyed dashiki singing, 'Love, love, love . . . ' so Im not sure why Wright is relevant to Lennon.
John Lennon was a good song writer and good with music however a lot of people said that in his personal life he treated a lot of people very poorly. My biggest peeve over this is there are so many that consider him to be "Saint John the Humanist" an attribute all of this LOVE to him when he was in reality a ba***rd to everyone else. So the duality of his nature is totally swept under the rug by so many of the duped culture.
But back to the movies.
