Hello all.

(I'm not sure if this is the best place to ask about in the FL, if worng just drop a line).

I got this image in an once very popular magazine, 1938. It shows a novelty - a german typewriter that could be ordered with the owner's calligraphy. The typewriter has german keyboard (the QWERTZ). The pen is just for advertising purposes! It's really like a usual typewriter in all ways - just the typeface was made by special order.

Anyone here can identify the typewriter? Or ever know something about this? Never heard about this kind of personal typeface, ever being possible to do (probably a luxury item!).

Thanks!

Looks like a Remington Portable (1921-1940). Extremely popular in Europe, back then.

Distribution:

"Remington Schreibmaschinen G.m.b.H.", Berlin
