Yes...and Bowen that jacket came to me out of the blue. Ken Calder informed me that that antique steer '30s HB with blanket lining from a nearby mill was put together with me in mind. So years later you got a one of a kind which seems more you that it ever was me.

What's wrong with enjoying both the hunt and what you have gathered so far?

Nothing. The concepts are not mutually exclusive. But there are undoubtedly some people who hunt and acquire to the point where they have so many jackets they aren't able to mix them into a regular rotation and enjoy wearing them.

It's one thing to stick to a "one jacket in, one jacket out" rule. But sometimes, it's hard to let them go.

In my experience once you get one or a couple perfect fittiny jackets you no longer have the need to search for something else, at least in that style.

Fit is the most important factor in the hunt for the perfect jacket.

You got the freewheelers and it was such a great fit and quality that it’s difficult to top that one.

I keep seeing jacket's I'd buy if they were a bit cheaper, but I don't need them.

As I am very soon heading back out to Asia, I'm trying to keep only the Highwayman and the Teamster I have coming- the rest of my Aeros I am selling off as a) I have no space to keep them in and don't want to burden family and b) it'll be too hot where I'm going to need a heavy jacket for more than about 8 weeks a year. It's actually quite a relief to be getting down to two leather jackets after having a rather absurd 7 of them...

I don't know anything about it yet. It appears to be a collaboration with an Italian merchant who has it listed on eBay for about $200 less than what Thurston Bros. are charging for their Thedi cafe jackets - can't beat that! And the design and style is 100% on point with this one. It's very similar to the MTC-127984 model introduced in 2017-18 which I'd previously considered, but this one has a full lining where the 127984 came unlined, and the pocket configuration is completely different.

If you look closely, that one is also actually a cross zip I believe. Cool as hell zipped up but I'm not sure how that would look/sit unzipped..

It does look just slightly off center. I doubt it changes how the jacket presents unzipped dramatically.

He sure can design a cafe racer. Good lord! Even I couldn't own all of these.

I hadn't noticed before, but this design is the same (I think?) as "The Greedo" jacket, which I'd drooled over two years ago.



So... yeah, looks like I'm getting a one-color Greedo. Haven't finalized the order yet. But hopefully I can get it in time for riding season.
