Fellows,

I find myself in the position of needing a suit for a family funeral, one which is imminent rather than decided upon... I hope you follow my meaning.

Can anyone recommend a vendor for the larger gentleman?

I want something new, of vintage appearance and costing slightly less than a small car ;).

I wish to be able to wear it in future to remember my father with some pleasure, so... something stylish.

All suggestions greatfully recieved.

Always a tough call, the 'preparation.'Rob Crossley will make you a beautiful vintage suit, in pure wool, for around £600. When a dear friend of mine passed away, aged just 45, his widow insisted no black and nothing to show mourning, we were celebrating his short but wondeful life. I wore the zoot suit that Rob had made for me. Somehow I knew that Tim, (the deceased,) was smiling!

I might gave to be slightly more traditional than a zoot, but that's definitely the "idea" I'm after.

Here's a couple Rob made, in a more traditional mode:
This one is on his website.

This one isn't, he probably doesn't want overkill. He did me proud with this one, faithfully copying my father's de-mob suit, from a photograph circa 1948.
