Hello,

jackets like the one on ebay mentioned above were used by the german police.

That were 3/4 Leather coats and there are some one german ebay.

Search for "polizei lederjacke"
They are still made by Leder Roth in Hamburg (You have to ask them, no pics or hints on the web page). I had them made one for me in 2002 or soand I#m still very happy with it.
or Leder Erdmann in Munich (Price is pretty high)

Both were in thepast (beyond others) outfitters of the German police.

Best regards

The German police jackets are quite different - similar, but way too far off a Dr Who coat to satisfy the Bad Wold fan. I remember seeing them here for $15 each back in the 1980's. At about 7 pounds in weight, I passed.

I agree, I have seen some in an army surplus store in Wellington and I wouldn't want one. Also the leather on those German jackets seems a bit stiffer.

I think it's great. Do you still wear this one? And more importantly, If it's not getting much action, will you sell it to me? Seems BW has closed its door for a few years now. You look to be about my body size.

My father had a U-Boat coat by TOTLS. They are made in Pakistan based on an original the owner provided. It was lined in wool and was quite heavy, either cxl cow or steer. It was regretfully stolen :(

I have been wearing my grey Unterseeboot jacket from Noble House, after finally sorting out sizing issues, and will post a pic or two shortly. Compliments every time I wear it. I have been comparing it to old photos, as well as movie props used, such as the beginning scene of U-571, and some Das Boot scenes, and found it to measure up fairly well in originality comparison. Quite warm too...

As someone who loves these jackets... I have one from every modern maker except Noble House and several world war II authentic jackets, I look forward to seeing your photographs.

Trying to figure out how to post photos. This used to be easy...
It is quite confusing. I have found you can upload your photos to a photo site and get a HTML link which you can put in your post by using one of the editing options at the top of your message
Or the much more confusing way which I will try to explain but I barely get it right myself. You click on the picture icon, you somehow choose to add a file, somewhere in there it'll ask you to choose your camera or a file at which time you can choose a photo on your computer. You have to mess with this to figure it out but it's in there
the easiest way of all is to use tapatalk or Tapatalk pro in which case there's a simple little box at the bottom of your dialog space that says photos, files and it'll simply add from your existing device... computer, iPad, phone, etc
He's a couple shots of a 1940 something authentic German U-Boat jacket I got a few years back on eBay from the UK. It originally had the old kriegsmarine gold buttons but I replace them with black ones like Doctor Who

Photos are super easy to upload...
Press the "upload a file" button.
As long as the photo is under 800k you are good to go. Select thumbnail or full size- done.

Yeah - once you know - this has got to be the easiest site to post photos on - straight from your computer in the press of one button.

I am 5'9", 150lbs., 40" chest, 32" waist, and this is a size XXL. I've got about 3-4" of room inside as chest measurement across is about 22". I could have probably gone with a 3XL for more historically accurate, larger fit, but it might have been too tent like - exchange shipments are too expensive, although Noble House customer service is exceptional.

Love the coat. Noble House has gotten some bad press over the years here on the Fl, so it's nice to hear that perhaps they've sorted out some problems. Things can change with time. Anyway, Happy New Year and all the best.

The U Boat coat is basically a leather peacoat in a different color.

Board member @SpeedRcrX has one in goat from Lost Worlds. It is a stunner. I went back and found one of the threads that had the pictures, but the links are broken.
