I was not seeking these jackets out but they somehow became mine. In truth they were priced so low that I simply couldn't resist.
The CR is really crisp and feels like it wasn't worn much at all. The only tag is hand stenciled on leather at the collar. White canvas pocket bags and Serval/Talon zips. I dig it.
The CHP is actually quite strange. No snaps to hold down the collar or lapels, an angled chest zip and epaulettes and shoulder gussets. Unusual for a Cal. The previous owner added a two way zip which is really odd, given the short length of the jacket to begin with. My first thought was to get rid of it but it's a massive Talon and it functions beautifully. This jacket needs a little pecards but it wears like a 10lb lambskin. It has snaps for a fuzzy collar and it's getting one. Sorry the pics aren't great but y'all get the gist.

The LAPD with the chest pocket (and label) looks effin awesome. Can’t be too many of those around. Your stable of former jackets is truly untouchable lol.
It always makes me laugh when a thread I created for a jacket(s) I’ve sold gets bumped. Especially when I’ve totally forgotten about the jackets. A strange deja vu. It’s the life of leather traveler. A lonely road, littered with chest pocket and two way main zips. The only consistent truth being the promise of what lies ahead.

Reminds me of a deep sea fisherman catching huge tuna, or grouper, or marlin, taking a look, weighing the beast, being awed...then abruptly throwing the catch back into the sea. No trophies. Perhaps some photos to prove it happened. But in the end, its the hunt that keep you going.

I’ve got a nice tuna snagged right now in fact. Just have to reel her in. Couple weeks maybe.

Hi
Nice find! Love them both. Could you say where you bought them?
They fit you Perfect. With my size 52 it's very hard to find vintage jackets in my size. I see a lot 42-48 Sizes for sale but don't fit me. I guess I should lose weight.
I just picked up a New No longer in business Walther Dyer Brown Jacket in size 52.
Enjoy wearing them. I have good luck with BICKMORE 4 Conditioner.

@PeterRocco Im a solid size 48 in most leather jackets too, so I've always got my eye out for the "bigger sizes" there is a size 52 Golden Bear CHP style jacket similar to the Cal Ton posted in this thread for sale on Grailed follow this link.. good luck
