I've watched the old 1970s series of "Lord Peter Wimsey" and I think they were pretty cool.

I saw it recently and thought it rather good, but found the sets rather theatrical and basically all the actors much older than their characters. I like the 80's adaptions with Harriet Walter and Edward Petherbridge better, (despite the women's fluffy hair), but they only made three and the adaption of Gaudy Night was awful. I'd love a series of al lthe Lord Peter books with the same quality as the Poirot series.

I'm enjoying Downton Abbey, although NOT enjoying all the ad breaks - one minute of ads for each 3 minutes of Downton! I end up pausing, making a cuppa, then fast forwarding through them, very annoying.
