U.S. Navajo 70 bracelet

Established by the Indian Arts and Crafts Board, this mark was used between 1938 and 1942, the numbers associated with specific traders and identifying silver artistry of high quality. I believe that #70 is connected with the Wingate, NM origins of the Navajo Arts and Crafts Guild. I have read that the US Navajo stamps were made by Ambrose Roanhorse and that he approved and stamped many of the pieces personally. It's a very simple and elegant piece.
