That's a beautiful match for your Bulova, save the color. I grew up a mile away from the Bulova office in Queens... fond memories.

Now I have split my day between the two cuffs, Michael. That stone is extraordinary. How would one begin to think about using it... or is it too valuable to cut and use?

I forgot about this thread and I have not looked at it for some time. I have really been missing out. Great stones and jewelry everyone!

My friend bought this on eBay.It was a little too big so I cut it down for him today. To morrow I have to tell him it's a reproduction. Not old, cast probably from a mold of a nice old ring. The stone is in a bezel cup, soft soldered onto the ring.

I don't like telling people they have been duped, but I would expect them to tell me.....so....

So many outstanding items in this thread I hesitate to post my meager items.
I'm just back from a trip to Albuquerque and Santa Fe. Didn't buy much but I
saw some nice things. Probably the best place I saw for buying things was
Skip Maisel's trading post in Albuquerque. I gather it opened in the 30s, when it
would have been on Route 66, closed when the original owner died, and then reopened in the 80s.
Some web site said they used to have 300 artisans working there. I saw one.

I picked up a Navajo watch band with the marking EJ) on the back:

They were guessing Arizona turquoise and maybe Canadian bear claw. I like it... I may be
getting hooked. Inexpensive, too. They said they have dealt with generations of silversmith
families.

Apologies as always for the terrible photo quality.

Here are some bolos I've had around for a while. First my favorite:

And one turquoise, one malachite, with silver dollars for scale:

I thought I'd love the turquoise one more, but it hasn't grown on me. Maybe it will.
