Hello folks,

I've come into possession of a Hein Gericke leather jacket and I am trying to identify the model. It would seem it is some form of Paris to Dakar, but it has slight differences when compared to what I see online. I figured I'd go to the experts here to see if anyone has seen this before.

Yes, it is, as you say, a Hein Gericke Dakar jacket.
As you will know, they are very high quality, heavy, motorcycle 'touring' apparel. They Were also issued in a Dark Brown.
They came with a 'pop-in', insulated, winter lining, again, of very good quality.
I believe the were originally designed and manufactured for BMW owners,
but their quality made them sought-after by other, discerning 'bikers'.
In good condition, they fetch reasonable money, I've seen them for £300/400.
I have a nice 1980's article about them, from the respected, American, 'Cycle' magazine, I'll see if I can find it, if you're interested?
