We are used to seeing orphaned jackets for sale. But this is the other way around: the jacket has gone, leaving just the trousers and waistcoat. They will look fantastic worn with a light weight, light coloured summer linen/cotton jacket. Very much the look for the Englishman walking on the promenade on his summer holidays at almost any time in the mid 20th century image (matched with a nice pair of white cricket shoes).

The jacket is just what I need for summer. I only have heavy wool sportcoats. But it's a tad too small. Mario? the trousers would fit you too, perhaps?

Florian,

I have a similar jacket that might fit you. I will check measurements and, if it's your size, I'll send some photos.

Wow that would be great. Thank you. I started to look out for Ralph Lauren linen jackets because they have similar patch pockets.

Oh...right...can't edit my posts here...why didn't I know?

Anyway. I paid a little more for the combo than I originally wanted to, but what the heck...seems to be a common thing here, right? Not? :eeek:
Gee, I'll better be lying low for the next couple of weeks. ;)

That's splendid. I'm glad they have gone to a good home.

It is worth watching the things that vendor sells. He often has some good stuff (and some rubbish, of course) in particular he often has old trousers in good condition.
I've also noticed that he seems to post under two different IDs (at least there are two Ebay sellers who pose for photographs on the same wall).

I'll look forward to you posting photos of you (combined with your Palm Beach jacket, I presume?).
