I haven't posted in a long time, but in few days will visit a wonder place of vintage. this reminded me of my arc w this interest area.

here goes...

I found fedoras years ago. then this lounge. then I got into vintage outdoor mail order. then I visited LA and the Cicada Club and met some Fedora biz ppl. then touristed in the steampunk scene a bit. then after Cicada, swing dance caught my attn. in past year I've been learning to dance. and am presently flying to LA (w 2 rolled optimos in carry on) and will visit again the home base Cicada Club! where I will cut rug to live golden era type of band. full circle.

I'm jealous. I'd love to go to the Cicada Club (especially this year considering the 17 yr real cicadas will be in my yard..lol). If you're still on site I hope you let me know how it went. I also like Steampunk too.

I don't tend to do "scenes", or rather when I do take interest in something, I don't change to suit them. I remain my usual free self, and wear whatever I'm in the mood for, irrespective of what everyone else's attire may be. Whether I choose a peak, a brim, or neither, is more about whim and weather than what's expected of me. I can of course understand others getting carried along by changing tides in their life.
