OK, thanks for that. We have surgical spirit over here which is a mix of ethanol and methanol and which I presume is the same as, or close to, rubbing alcohol? H35

Rubbing alcohol is usually ethyl alcohol with a chemical added so you can't drink it. it is also refered to as denatured alcohol.

This is what a U.S. Wings Indy looks like after a few months. I've washed it, dried it, stretched it, applied alcohol, scalloped the pockets, moved the side strap up a couple inches (more like the original and suits my torso) and generally worn it as much as possible. The shoulders are a better fit after drying, but I still need to work on the arm length a bit. I'm 6' and somewhat long.
