Randles Motor Court, Eldon, Missouri (near Lake of the Ozarks).

Opened as Loyd A. Boots Tavern in 1934.

It has been Randles since 1947.

A fire in 2017 destroyed the restaurant and damaged the motel. Current owners are rebuilding / renovating.

Agreed. That's the exact reason why I couldn't bring myself to hit the "like" button for Bob's post. The one other forum I'm on, has (about) five button options: "Like," "Funny," "Sad," and one or two others. I'd have hit "Sad" for this one.

Yep, same here. I'd guess it made more sense financially to tear them down rather than restore them, but it's another bit of history lost.
