These have been with me since I was a kid. I think my folks my have been given these or got them from work. I'd love to identify them.
If anyone recognizes the whistles or tops and can give me more information about them, I'd be most grateful. The grey whistle has no writing on it, and the yellow whistle reads:
"FOR BOYS POLL-PARROT SHOES FOR GIRLS" (on the front)
"SOLID LEATHER SHOES MADE IN STAR BRAND' FACTORIES' (on the tube part)
"F.L. RAND CO. ST. LOUIS" (on the back in small font)
There's a picture of a parrot on one side of the tube and the words "Star Brand Shoes Are Better" on the other side - the words surround a red star with some an interesting design in the middle and the letters "R,J & R, S" in the points.
