That is bloody lovely. What colours! I'm just imagining it worn with my midnight blue double breasted overcoat ... damn it's yours not mine!

Cheers TT,I've never seen a pale grey one before...its a shame it's a bit worn but in reality it's about an 8.0 out of ten, worn along the edges in places and two tiny holes near the end on one side...luckily not the label side!

TT - here's that mucky 'Black Quality' I mentioned. Let me know if you want it. Thought I'd post it here rather than 'Swap' just for its own sake.
The main mucky bits are at the tip of the blade and just about where you tie the knot - although they probably will come out with either a wash or with a Tea-Tree Wipe.

Thanks

Got this little fellow in a bag of 40 vintage ties for £5, so i suppose that puts it at 12.5p! 'Popular Quality', super short with the old white label. Still has the little loop of string where the cardboard label was stitched on. Only problem is someone has pressed it into a bit of a twist, but that can soon be remedied.

Thanks for looking!

Hello all,

Some new acquisitions. Two Tootal Rayon Cravats, the striped one has that fluted shape, and the red one is straight, but it clearly used to be pleated (still some stitches and creases). The striped one seems to be club colours to me - did Tootal do such a service?

A Tootal 'Green Quality' with 90% Rayon and 10% Nylon - great condition, hardly worn, and that fabric mix is so soft! And a really quite old 'Popular Quality', plain black, with two labels. Never seen that before.

Let me know what you think gents!

Never seen two labels before. Now you are making me jealous! The striped cravat could be club colours, I know that Tootal made school ties and also you often see more modern Tootal ties made for large companies, golf clubs etc. But i've never seen anything that is obviously made to order from the earlier period. I must check, I have a tie in very similar colours. Added to that, the 'green quality' has lovely colours.
